Dhyan, trance, and hypnosis all involve narrowed attention and heightened receptivity. Classical yoga named stages: pratyahara, dharana, dhyan, samadhi. Modern hypnosis studies suggestibility and focused absorption.
It is not mind control magic. It cannot ethically rewrite your will. Stage shows optimize compliance for entertainment. Spiritual use should optimize clarity and agency.
Systematically soften feet, legs, belly, chest, face. This prepares the body like a gentle pratyahara. Then place attention on breath or mantra.
Use short, true, kind suggestions: “With each exhale, attention rests with the mantra.” Avoid suggestions that invent trauma or dependency. If trauma surfaces, seek professional care.
Sit. Soften eyes. Silently: My body is safe. Breath is slow. Outer noise fades. Attention gathers like light in a lamp. I am ready for japa. Repeat twice. Begin mala.
Chanting entrains bodies. Keep a thread of awareness — feel feet on floor. After satsang, journal five minutes alone. Enjoy rasa without surrendering discrimination.
One-session “kundalini hypnosis activation” is a red flag. Trance can relax; it does not safely install awakening like software. Prefer years of simple practice.
